18 Weeks and Counting – Fenton MI Maternity Photographer

So, it has recently come to my attention that I have not shared our big news over here…

Our family is happily awaiting the arrival of baby number 4!  Which is set to make his or her debut July 28th

I still can’t believe how quickly this pregnancy is flying by.  It’s hard to believe that I’m almost half way done!

I love being pregnant.  I love the belly, I love feeling a new life moving inside of me.  I feel feminine, I feel protective, I feel beautiful…

So far this pregnancy has been my easiest hands down.  There has been no nausea involved, I haven’t been nearly as tired as I was the last time around, I am able to eat all of the foods that I liked to eat before getting pregnant, I haven’t had nearly as many nosebleed’s as I did with my other 3…  Basically I have felt like my regular self, with the new addition of a baby bump   (Which I must add has arrived a few weeks sooner than it did with my other pregnancies.)

I’m incredibly grateful that God has chosen to bless us with another baby!

Carrying another new life has filled my heart with even more sunshine, lollipops, happiness, and love!

Valentine’s Day – Fenton MI Photographer

Today I started my day with a 3:00am text from my husband saying “I love you, happy Valentine’s Day”

My husband isn’t the type that typically remembers holiday’s.  Heck, it’s only within the past couple of years that he’s started remembering my birthday… 

So needless to say, it was heartwarming to receive a text from him acknowledging his love for me on this special day even if it was 3:00 in the morning   (And even if he may have only remembered because someone else reminded him…) 

I could have felt irritated about being woken up in the middle of the night, but I didn’t.  Instead I texted back, “I love you too.  Happy Valentine’s Day! xoxo”  

This year we don’t get to spend Valentine’s Day together.  This year I got a text instead.  He’s not much of a gift guy, and cards only happen once in a blue moon…

But, I’m okay with that.  He is who he is.

He tells me daily that he loves me.  He provides for our family.  He still believes in giving me a kiss when he walks in the door.  He still believes in holding hands. 

Those are the things that matter.  Those simple acts of love that he shows to me every day are better than a bouquet of roses.  Those simple acts of love show the things that a card mearley says.

I miss holding that special hand today, and curling up with that special someone. 

But his absence is worth it.  His absence is necessary.  His absence further proves his love, and isn’t that what today is really all about?

Disney World – Orlando Florida Lifestyle Photographer

So, what’s a family trip to Florida without going to Disney World?  http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/ Don’t ask me, cause we totally went!

So, did I take thousands and thousands of photos?  Nope. 

I only took a handful, and you want to know why?  I wanted to be fully present during this special trip, and not simply viewing life from behind a lens

Yes, I realize it sounds silly to some of you, but you can’t hold hands, and push strollers with a camera in your hands.  You can’t eat, and ride on rides with a camera in your hands.  You can’t hug your family, and point out special characters so your kids will notice them with a camera in your hand… 

And guess what?  Your family wants to talk to, and share moments with your beautiful face, not just one eye, a black box, and a smile. 

So, that’s what I did.  I held hands, I rode rides, I pointed out things that I wanted my kids to see.  I hugged my kiddos, and wrapped my arm around my husband’s.  I pushed the stroller, and danced, and was fully present for them with my entire face available for viewing

So, here are the pictures that I did take while we had a little downtime, because I couldn’t come home with absolutely no photos…  Can you guess which one had a wiggly tooth?

I hope that your week has been filled with sunshine, lollipops, happiness, and love!  Oh, and once piece of advice, if you ever go to Disney, get the speed passes at as many rides as you can, it’ll save you lots of time

Beach Boy – St. Augustine Florida Lifestyle Photographer

I have hardly touched my computer in a long, long time.

I must admit, it’s been awesome! No sore back, no sore wrist… More time with my family, a cleaner house… Oh how I have been loving this wonderful time off

We spent New Year’s Eve on the beach in Florida this year, it was warm, and sunny.  I could use warm, and sunny right about now, LOL!

Anyway, my kiddos got to swim in the ocean for the first time ever on our trip, and they were thrilled!

After swimming we had dinner, and then headed over to check out St. Augustine’s Beach Blast Off http://www.beachblastoff.com/

Followed by a trolly ride, and then back to the beach to see the amazing fireworks display that night!  It was pretty neat to watch the fireworks right on the beach

It was so nice to get to spend the week with our wonderful family that we don’t get to see often enough. That week together holds a special place in my heart

Hmm…  Now if only we could borrow some of Florida’s warmth, and sunshine right about now…
