5 things that made me happy this week – Oakland County Child Photographer
5 things that made me happy this week
1. The zoo. This week my kids and I went to the zoo. We wanted to go one last time before our yearly pass expired, and even though it rained the 1st 1/2 of our day, we enjoyed ourselves. Taking my kids to do something fun makes me happy
2. Dinner with my mom. This week I went out for dinner with my mom. We ate Mexican food, and talked. Spending time with my mom makes me happy. Especially if there is yummy food involved…
3. Spending time with my sister, and her family. This week we saw my sister’s family twice. First we had a play-date at my sister’s house, and then I babysat her 4 little ones for her. It’s fun to watch the kids run around and play. It remind me of being younger, and running around with my cousins. Family that lives close by makes me happy
4. My daughter. She says some of the silliest things, and makes lots of wonderful expressions. It’s hard not to smile, and laugh when she’s around. Not being the only female in my house makes me happy
5. Chocolate ice-cream with peanut butter swirls. Oh how I could end every day with chocolate peanut butter ice cream. My scale wouldn’t like it, but other than that I’m pretty sure that it would make me incredibly happy
What made you happy this week?
I hope that your weekend has been filled with sunshine, lollipops, happiness, and love!

I’ve Returned – Michigan Family Photographer
I am happy to announce that after a wonderful, relaxing vacation I have returned from Florida!
On my vacation I learned that the airport has a religious/meditation room, I learned that Florida has some pretty big spiders, I learned that it is common to have lizards climbing up your sliding glass door, I learned that Zaxby’s chicken is yummy, I learned that some areas have strange feeling grass, I learned that it burns when you get ocean water in your eyes, I learned that I missed my aunt and uncle’s family more than I had realized, and I saw the most beautiful mossy trees, I saw my first marsh, and I saw sinks in the handicapped stalls. So I guess it’s true, you really do learn something new everyday!
Since I wouldn’t want to blog without a photo, her are two lovely sisters for you. And don’t worry, Florida photos will grace my blog at some point
I hope that everyone’s week has been filled with as much sunshine, lollipops, happiness, and love as mine was!

5 Things That Made Me Happy This Week – Detroit Michigan Photographer
5 Things That Made Me Happy This Week
1. Karaoke nights. This week I had two karaoke nights. One with my wonderful boys, and the other with a wonderful friend of mine, and her family. Holding a microphone, and rocking out to myself and others makes me happy
2. Solving household issues. While my husband was gone in Colorado this week I had to solve some of the “manly” household jobs, that would typically be reserved for him. I had to plunge the toilet, and get a part of the vacuum unstuck. While I am proud of myself, I certainly hope that I don’t have to do anymore daddy jobs when he leaves again. Doing something that I typically don’t do, and succeeding made me happy
3. The Tigers game. This week I took my mom, and my son’s to a Tiger’s baseball game. We had an awesome parking spot, amazing seats, and lots of snacks. The Tigers lost the game, but we got to meet Ryan Perry, a pitcher for the Tigers, and he signed the boys baseball gloves, and posed for a picture with them! Sports stars that are kind enough to take a few moments for their fans make me happy
4. My husband coming home. This week my husband came home from Colorado, and that of course made me happy
5. Witnessing the amazing talent of Rebecca Rosen. This week I went with my mom, my sister, and the mother and sister’s of my brother’s girlfriend that was killed in a car accident last year to see a medium named Rebecca Rosen. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it sounded interesting, so I went. I have to say, there was no way to walk out of that room without believing in her. I was so happy for the family of my brother’s girlfriend, and I can only say that it was a life changing event for them. It was nothing short of amazing. Witnessing what I witnessed that night made me happy
What made you happy this week?
Here are a few photos from the Tigers game taken with my point and shoot.
I hope that your week is filled with sunshine, lollipops, happiness, and love!
