Little Miss H – Michigan Child Photographer

Here is another cutie that I photographed quite a while ago, but haven’t shared on my blog yet.  Little Miss H is the adorable daughter of a photographer friend of mine.  She is so sweet, and real.  And to top it off, she is also a great big sister!

Isn’t she adorable in her braids?!

‘Tis The Season – Michigan Lifestyle Photographer

‘Tis the season for hope, for helping, and for miracles.

Hope- 2 days ago I was driving down the cold, snowy highway, and I saw a man walking with a gas can.  I decided that picking him up wouldn’t be the safest idea, but I really felt drawn to help.  So, I decided to go into the gas station to buy a gas can, and fill it with gas.  Then, I was going to return to the man, and give him the gas can filled with gas, along with my wish for him to have a merry Christmas.  By the time that I got back the man was gone, so I kept the gas in my car, and drove on thinking that maybe that same gas can was needed to help someone else.  Well, I didn’t come across anyone else out of gas, and my car smelled like a super strong gas station, but I couldn’t help but be thankful that not only was I willing to help that man, but so was someone else.  It was comforting to know that kindness for strangers still exists, and my HOPE is that one day that man will go on to help someone else in the same situation.  It’s truly amazing what one small act of kindness can do.

Help- A fellow photographer recently shared her story on her blog, and I thought that it was beautiful.  She had gone into the store to pick up some things for her sons class, and was waiting in line behind a security guard to pay.  When the guard tried to pay for the chips and pop, that were probably his lunch, his credit cards were denied.  So, out of the goodness in her heart, she payed for the man’s things, and then ran out of the store to give them to him.  When she reached his car to give him the chips and pop that he had put back, he thanked her, and she wished him a Merry Christmas.  Her willingness to HELP, and her kindess touched someone that day, and I’m sure that he will remember her for years to come, just as she will remember him.

MIRACLE- Another photographer friend of mine recently became the aunt of a beautiful little boy.  That little boy ended up having some lung problems, and last week the doctors told the family that they didn’t think that their sweet little baby was going to live.  I can’t even begin to imagine what they went through when they heard those words.  To believe that your brand new baby would not be coming home.  That they would never see him smile, or hear his laughter.  That they would never hear him say I love you, or watch him grow up…  Well, yesterday morning they received a phone call saying that things are looking better, and he is going to live!  He is still in the hospital, and could use your thoughts, and prayers, but what a Christmas MIRACLE.  Instead of preparing for loss, they can now prepare for his homecoming.

I hope that these stories touch your heart just as they have touched mine.  So, this holiday season, pay it forward, help someone in need.  Remember to be thankful for all of the things that are so often taken for granted.  Say a prayer for a soldier, and their family that won’t be togther for Christmas, and from my home to yours, Merry Christmas!

happy holidays, from our home to yours

Guest Blogger’s Thoughts on Christmas – Michigan Child Photographer

Today I have a guest blogger for you.  He is one of the sweetest, kindest, and most adorable people that I have ever met.  I hope you love what he has to say!

Hi to everybody.  I want to talk to you about Christmas.  Santa brings presents every year for the little girls, and little boys.

This year I hope he brings me a Wii, and a rocket, and a remote control car.  But that would be okay if he doesn’t.

This year I have been good.  I have loved my Mama, and my Dad, my sister, and my brother, and you Santa.  Oh, and God!

I really love God because he invented this world, and Jesus because he’s nice.

I have done good things for other people.  I’ve loved them, and given them hugs.  I be nice to my sister, and my brother.  Today I made them a sandwich for lunch.

Sometimes I be a little bit crabby, and say I wish if I lived in a different country.  And that’s not nice.  It makes my Mom sad, but she still loves me.  I’m gonna work on not doing that anymore.

At Christmastime we give thanks for our love, and we buy stuff for people in need.  We also take our things that we don’t need anymore, and give them to people that need them.  Giving them stuff makes us happy, and it makes them feel good because then they get stuff too.

Christmas is really about Jesus’s birthday, so I’m going to tell him, I love you, and thank you to God for inventing this world.  And I wish you a Happy Christmas, and I love Rudolph!

Ready to meet my guest blogger?  Lucky for you he has chosen a photo of himself that he would like to share, so here he is!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Little Mr. L – Michigan Commercial Photographer

Little Mr. L was the final cutie that I had the pleasure of working with for www.crawlercovers.com .  At least for now anyway :)

This adorable little guy braved the cold with me, and was so fabulous that we finished the shoot in record time!

Hello!

mr. l

pretty fly

When I was helping him put on the leg warmers, he said, “What are these, alien socks?”  It cracked me up, but the funny part is, I think he really thought that they just might be, LOL!

Drama From The Wheeler House – Michigan Child Photographer

Drama has hit our house this week.

It started off with my somehow managing to hit myself in the face with the door as I was trying to put our neighbors cat outside.  And yes, it hurt…

Then my husband, and I were painting the basement later that evening, and he managed to hit himself in the eye with a pole as he was moving the garbage can.  It took a few minutes for him to be able to see correctly again, and I just kept wondering, what is this, hit yourself in the face day?!

Then my hubby had to finish painting one section of the basement in the dark, because the light burned out.  He just crossed his fingers, and hoped for the best.

Then our garbage disposal broke, and the water wouldn’t go down the drain, so our dishes became piled sky high!  My husband tried to fix it, but couldn’t, and we had to wait a few days until his Dad could come over to help.  Now the garbage disposal is fixed thanks to my wonderful father-in-law, but guess what?

Now my dishwasher isn’t working right, and it keeps making loud, strange noises!

Oh, and to top it all off, here’s one that I bet you haven’t heard before.  Our freshly painted basement flooded, and when my husband was trying to fix that issue, he figured out the cause of it.

Are you ready to know what it was?  A screwdriver.  Yes, I said a screwdriver!  How in the world did a screwdriver get down into our drains?!  The toilet?  The sink?  Or somehow knocked straight into the drain in the basement…?  Either way, it caused us some problems here at the Wheeler house.

Needless to say, it has been a long few days…

Sometimes all you can do is just laugh.  Which I guess is better than crawling into bed, and crying :)
