The Pumpkin Patch
One of my favorite things about the Fall, aside from the leaves changing, is going to the pumpkin patch. I love the cider, and doughnuts. I love going on hayrides, and seeing my kids happy faces as they play, and visit with the animals. I love it so much, that we usually go multiple times a year. Here are some photos from one of our trips to the pumpkin patch this year.
My boys sharing cider, Lady and The Tramp style.
My daughter didn’t like the bees trying to get into her cup, so she decided to cover it with a napkin.
The kids think that the goats are really neat. They love feeding them, and can’t get over the fact that goats can climb ladders. I have to admit, my husband and I are also amused.
My oldest son seems to have grown up so much this past year. He’s getting taller, and his face is maturing, Sigh…
My younger son thought that the playhouse was really neat.
He loves to rough house, so we had a shadow fight. He won.
I love the sound of childrens laughter, it’s so innocent, and carefree…
And finally, here is our most recent family photo. Aren’t we adorable?!
I hope that everyone is having a great week!

Finding Strength
Finding strength, strength to share a story left untold for so many years, strength to help other woman share their story.
Shortly after I started my junior year of high school I was raped by a boyfriend. That same year I was sexually assaulted by a stranger that also attempted to rape me.
There aren’t many people in my life that know these secrets, because I saw them as flaws. They felt like something that I needed to hide, and because of that, I never went to the police with them either.
Every 2 minutes, someone in the US is sexually assaulted. 60% of sexual assaults are not reported. Approximately 73% of assault victims know their assailant. Only 6% of rapists will ever spend time in jail, and 1 in 6 woman will be sexually assaulted in their lifetime.
I will be doing a book, one that shares the story of not only myself, but also the stories of others. It will include photos of the women. It will put her face, with her story, and help the world to see her as more than just a statistic. It will help not only with re-gainig power, but it will also help to shed some light on a subject that is not typically discussed.
If you are from, or are willing to travel to Michigan, to be a part of my project, and share your story, please e-mail me. Together, we can make our voices heard, and take back a part of ourselves that was once taken away.

Family
I recently had the pleasure of photographing a wonderful family. It was a beautiful, warm day, and I loved being outside. Despite the 50 million mosquito bites that I got that day. (Okay, so it wasn’t really 50 million, but it was at least 50…)
I love that each of the darling children have a different color hair. Blond, Brown, and Red. How fun!
I also love how different each of their personalities are.
This tough guy wanted his picture taken with a log, and I of course happily obliged.
I think Mom and Dad lost the leaf fight. Kids rule!

Little Mr. A
As promised, today is the day that you will meet Little Mr. A.
Little Mr. A is an adorable, sweet, energetic little guy. He seemed very fond of trucks, and dogs, and birds chirping. It was also sweet to watch him buddy up with his Daddy.
It was so nice to meet you Little Mr. A, thank you for letting me take your picture!

Little Miss I
Last Sunday I had the pleasure of photographing Little Miss I, and her wonderful family.
Little Miss I was super sweet, and absolutely gorgeous. I think Mom, and Dad will have to watch out though, because my psychic senses tell me that she is going to be chased by a lot of boys in the future!
Tomorrow you will meet her equally adorable brother.

Mr. J
Mr. J is a senior that I have recently had the pleasure of photographing.
It was fun shooting him. It took me back to my high school days, and reminded me of what it was like back then. He reminded me of some of the crazy things that boys do, and of the way that we all used to worry that someone might see us doing something silly. How uncool would that be?! It was fun to remember the way that I used to be, even if it was only for an hour.
Mr. J was very sweet, and even said that he would change into whatever his mom wanted him to. I thought that was awesome. I hope my boys feel that way when they are in high school!
Enjoy your senior year Mr. J, before you know it you’ll be graduated. And, I’m going to risk sounding old here, but one day, you’ll miss high school. So enjoy it while you still can. Congratulations!
Mr. J with his beautiful Mom.

Little Miss L
Little Miss L was another adorable girl that modeled for me for the leg warmer shoot.
Little Miss L was so wonderful to photograph, and she was two of my favorite things… Adorable, and giggly! This little lady is certainly a happy go lucky kind of kid.
Thank you for the giggles Little Miss L!
With this expression, I was the one giggling!

My Boys
It’s not everyday that my boys share a beautiful, sweet, quiet moment with eachother. So, imagine my joy when I was cleaning out some old files, and found these sweet photos! I couldn’t believe that I had never processed them, but they certainly warmed my heart on this chilly day.
And here is a happy moment. Have a great weekend everyone!

Little Miss S
Now it’s time for another leg warmer wearing cutie!
This is Little Miss S. She was another one of the sweet children that I photographed for Crawler Covers and More.
Little Miss S cracked me up with her many facial expressions, and she certainly wasn’t lacking in the personality department. Oh, and as an added bonus, she looks great in polka dots!
Thank you for letting me take your pictures Little Miss S, and I hope you enjoyed your McDonald’s!
